Collection Management Strategies in Improving the Effectiveness of Library Services: An Analysis of Lending Trends in 2021-2024

Abstrak

A university library is a type of library that functions as a means of learning for students, where the library must be able to provide the best service for users in meeting information needs. The IAI-Nasional Laa Roiba Bogor Library in 2021 has a new building and new facilities so as to increase student interest in visiting the Library. With the existence of these buildings and facilities, visits and borrowing collections in the Library have increased, so that it can be known that the data on borrowing library collections for 4 years is 2,359 copies, collections that are often borrowed by users based on the classification number, namely class 300 (Social Sciences/Education) obtained as many as 872. 182 copies were obtained in February, the lowest collection, namely classification number 900 (History/Sports) was obtained as many as 10 copies and the collection that had never been used or borrowed was classification number 700 (Arts). With the increase in student visits to IAI Nasional Laa Roiba, the number of collections owned must be increased so that the needs of users can be met. The National IAI Laa Roiba Bogor Library has various types of collections including: textbook collections, references, fiction, proceedings, journals, ebooks, theses, theses, dissertations, mass media.
